A Great Holistic Tip to Stop Itching

If your dog is suffering from insect bites or itchy spots that your
dog refuses to stop licking, soak her in a cool (not friggid or
freezing) bath with black tea bags. The tannic acid in the black tea
will help to dry out the sores and help your dog heal quickly. To
prepare the bath boil 4 quarts of water and then soak 8-10 tea bags in
the water until it is room temperature then draw a cool bath for your
dog and place the tea (with the bags) in the bath with her. You may
also apply the bags directly to the worst of the spots for extra
relief.

Your Dog is Not a Human; But they are the Next Best Thing

We know you love your dog like a human, but using human shampoo will
only make the poor pup suffer. Luckily lots of research has been put
into dog shampoo, do not use people shampoo on your dog because it can
irritate their skin. Dog’s skin has different Ph levels than humans,
our shampoos and conditioners have harsher chemicals than dog
shampoos. There are a few exceptions, these are the all natural
products like Aveeno Oatmeal Bath, which can sometimes be good for
dogs with allergies.

Buy a styptic stick and keep it on hand in case there is ever a nail
trimming accident. Even an experienced groomer can nick a nail quick
from time to time, use a styptic stick to stop the bleeding from the

Another Reason For Your Dog To Love You

Place some toothpaste on a wash rag and rub it over their teeth and
gums if your dog will not let you come near it with that dog
toothbrush you bought them. Please Do not use human toothpaste, it
isn’t good for the dog and they hate the taste! Meat and cheese
flavored toothpaste is readily available at the pet shop, toothpaste

Your Dog Will LOVE You for Knowing This Trick

Just Imagine having your hair all matted and wet, stuck to your scalp.
Brush your dogs before you give them a bath. Brushing before hand
helps to remove any mats before you get him wet and lock them in. But

Important Tip - Keep You Dog Clean and Happy

Remember to place cotton balls in your dogs ears before you turn the
water on. Dogs don't like to get water in their ears and even when you
are careful it often finds its way in there. Water in your dogs ears
will typically result in violent shaking on the part of your dog
sending water all over you, your floor and your nice fresh bath
towels.

You Can Keep Your Dog Calm, by Preparing The Bath Properly

Any good dog bath should have a rubber mat so your pooch has traction
when he is being washed. Sometime it can be difiicult to get your dog
into the tub because he views it as an unpleasapt experience, this is
why we recommend having an indoor/outdoor dog bath that has warm
water. Your dogs nails can cause them to slide and lose their balance
on the slick surface. This would be an unpleasant or even frightening
experience for your dog. A mat allows them to stand firmly and
confidently, making things easier for you as well.
